Set in the South Downs close to Chichester, surrounded by historic places such as Uppark and Adsdean House, Lordington Manor, Racton Ruins, Goodwood and slightly further afield Petworth House, Arundel Castle, Portsmouth Docks with the Spinnaker Tower.Built in 1907 Grandwood House was originally a lodge house belonging to Watergate House which was accidentally burnt down by troops during the 2nd World War. Set in the heart of the South Downs it is only a short walk away from the local pub in nearby Walderton which serves lunches and evening meals. Large security gates leading on to a tarmac driveway ensures secure parking at all times.All rooms are en suite with some being double aspect. All are centrally heated and can be either twin or double occupancy with views to either the garden, open farmland or both. All rooms are non-smoking and have tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have TV with DVD player and wireless internet connection.

Directions

Chichester - Road: From the Chichester ring road take the B2178 to Funtington. On the right you will find the Fox and Hounds Pub turn right onto the B2146 Continue till reaching the T-junction. Turn right Continue for mile you will pass Walderton, continue on the B2146 for a further 13 mile. Grandwood House can be found on the right.From the North - Road: From the North A3 or Petersfield area take the B2146 to South Harting. Continue on the B2146 through the villages of Compton and West Marden. Grandwood House can be found on the left just after the road passes through a wooded area with a wall each side 13 of a mile before Walderton.From the West (A27) - Road: Heading West on the A27 take the exit signposted Emsworth, At roundabout take the 3rd exit, then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto Havant Road - A259 (signposted Emsworth). Continue forward onto Havant Road - A259. Entering Emsworth at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto North Street - B2148 (signposted Horndean). Turn right onto New Brighton Road - B2147 (signposted Westbourne). At the mini roundabout turn right onto Westbourne Road Follow the road through Westbourne Village.
